A new Sketch

The day before the wedding a new sketch was posted over at My Scraps and more Sketches. I did not get a chance to share that with you since I was a bit busy:0

Here is the sketch

Here is my layout

I am still scrapping Jen's wedding from September. This highlighted some of the details of the wedding.

Not too Early!

It is not too early to start thinking about Christmas! For the past 3 years I have surprised a friend with a canvas for Christmas. This was last year's. I love combining papers and paints. Stamping adds to the background! I need to start thinking now of what I want to do for this year's.

I think next week, I might do a Christmas in July post!! Thanks for stopping by!

Time to Play

Now that the wedding is over, I am getting a bit of time to play.

I was inspired by PCC's Magazine Monday inspiration. Steph chose a variety of 4th of July theme covers.

I printed the Star Spangled Banner lyrics on old tissue paper. I used Decou - Page to adhere it to a canvas. I painted and added to the background with bubble wrap stamping and rub ons. I created two tiny canvases with stars and glued them to the top corner. This will be a perfect decoration at the cottage for the 4th.

Supplies : Deco Arts - Decou-Page, Americana Paints - Santa Red, Ultramarine Blue, Baby Blue, White Wash.

Adding this to Simon Says Summer challenge. Summer means the 4th which means a party at the cottage! Family, food, fun, fireworks all day long!!

Thanks for stopping by and wishing everyone a happy 4th!

Thank you

I spent yesterday making thank you notes. *I owed a few for prizes I had won and the others are all wedding related.

Here is one using a new stamp I got. I enjoyed playing with watercolors and then misting it when I was done.

Mr. and Mrs.

I have been a bit absent but with good reason! On Saturday my son was married! The party started Wednesday afternoon when his sister and grandfather arrived. More people showed up each day! Friday we had an amazing rehearsal and dinner followed by an after party at our house! Saturday was a perfect day! Sunshine and warm - no rain. Everything and everyone was beautiful! The ceremony was just lovely. The minister had not shared her words with us on Friday and they were unique and perfect for Beth and Rob. The reception was  a blast followed by another after party! It was sad to see people leave Sunday morning. Rob was quite emotional the entire time. His best buddy from our former house in Brockport New York made the trip. They have not seen each other in 16 years! His college roommate came from Florida and it has been 2 1/2 years since they were together. Our former Kodak gang also made the trip  and it was as if we had not been apart!

Of course, I must share some photos. I did not take any during the ceremony. Many of mine from the reception are not very good. But, there are enough to give you an idea of our day!!

Thank you to everyone who made this such a special day! Thank you to everyone stopping by and viewing the photos! I appreciate it!

Friends

I was lucky enough to win a pack of Adornit Art Play Paintables and they are wonderful, delightful and fun! These pre printed designs are wonderful for cards, canvases, journals, scarp layouts, etc!. The paper is heavy duty and they took to my watercolors very well.!

My first card is a thank you going out to them!

I am adding this to Simonssays Wednesday challenge - Friends!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate your kind words!

Coffee Lover!

I love my morning coffee - just make it hot and black. No cream or fancy stuff!

Used these cute chipboard shapes to go with this quote for a simple card!

PCC Magazine monday

It is time for another PCC Monday magazine inspiration!
Don't you just love this?

Well, I am taking an art color class and was inspired by this but am so not ready for something so complex. Instead I just added a chair to my water scene. I am learning to enjoy watercolors!

Thanks for stopping by and thank you PCC!

30 Day Coloring Challenge

So KAthy is having this 30 day coloring challenge. I don't have enough to do with the wedding in 20 days so thought I't try this! I used the smooshing technique that I saw last week. I sprayed ink on a sheet of plastic and then manipulated it aroudn the card. It was quite fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

I am Back but will be Leaving:):)
